More SKUs is rarely the answer. Here is how we work with store owners to find the twenty products that carry the shelf.
Most stores we visit carry too many SKUs and too few sellers. Not people, we mean the products that actually pull customers to the shelf and defend their space week after week.
When we build an assortment we start with the customer, not the catalogue. Who walks through the door? What are they already buying? What price point can they carry? Only then do we look at what we can supply.
A good rule of thumb: three price levels, no more than two colourways per model, and one product that makes people stop. Everything else is support. It sounds brutal, but it makes counting, replenishment and campaigns far easier.
We help with the whole setup, placement, sales material and a follow-up after eight weeks. Get in touch if you want a proposal for your store.
